Be prepared for a foul smell at the pier. St Thomas' government really needs to clean that sea grass crap up. It's not fair to residents or visitors.

We were offered in shore or deep sea fishing when we first started. We decided on the deep sea. The weather was awesome. A good captain or charter will give you options that maybe weather dependant.

Talk to the captain about what you want to catch and what is biting. What I "wanted" wasn't realistic, but what I caught I was happy with. The captain knows the area and how to put you on the fish.

Watch the winds in March, the water can get rough. We had to reschedule our plans to get the trip in with our other excursions, but it was well worth it.
